One of the challenges the Political Cutz team has looked to improve on is the quality of documentation, both visual and aural of our conversations.

 

Teaming with renowned local photo and videographer John Lake, we looked to develop an understanding of how video documentation could work. Our initial collaboration involved creating haircut interviews with a small selection of artists. We were lucky to entice prolific public sculptor Regan Gentry, leading contemporary choreographer and director Malia Johnston and internationally recognised visual artist Tom Dale into the stylist chair. This was then the basis our partnership used when working together on Kaikōura Kutz.
