We couldn’t say no to the 2017 election campaign and this time occupied a space in the Public Trust Building in the heart of bureaucratic Wellington.

 

The size of our salon became a heavy influence on what became an expanded concept of what a democratic community space can be. We installed a series of politically themed interactive extras that included political ping pong, cinema, library, chalk graffiti, colouring in and more. Free haircutz for a political chat was still the core offering but the space allowed it to become more, with communication and participation at the heart of the event.

 

A great community space that encouraged a wide demographic to interact with one another on a lot of levels, something not commonly seen.
