ALL GOOD?
CONVERSATIONS WITH A HAIR DRESSER 2015
In 2015 Political Cutz was invited to participate in TEZA Porirua by Letting Space, which presented a chance to communicate with a different community.
The Transitional Economic Zone of Aotearoa was created as a space for interaction between the public of Porirua and unique art forms to encourage conversation around, and highlight the possibility of, ideas of art enabling social change, once again activating an unused commercial space. Our salon allowed us to connect with the public and discuss the life of Porirua and the diverse community that lives there. A chance to chat with local hairdressers and barbers gave us a unique insight into life in the Porirua community from the salon chairs.
Warmly received and amid honest salon chat, we were always coming back to the question… All good Porirua?
